Dr. Konstantin Hondros
Sociologist & Organization Scholar
Theater-, Media-, and Film Studies (MA)
Hi there,
I am a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Duisburg-Essen working in a DFG-funded project about alternative approaches to intellectual property in processes of the music and pharmaceutical industry. Most of my work deals with questions of access to knowledge and how (non)access influences creation processes for both human and non-human actors. Specifically, I have been interested in creative work and practice, issues of commissioning music, as well as the influence of digital platforms on relationships and markets in creative economies. I am the author of a monograph about "Liminal Creativity" and, among others, my work has been published by Organization and Research in the Sociology of Organizations.
In my spare time, I fancy theory of architecture and art history. In a distant future I hope to write a second dissertation about (a yet undetermined) aspect of skyscrapers (something along the lines of aesthetics of urban canyons, maybe...).

New Open Access Book "out there" since July 2023 based on my dissertation and called (in English): "Liminal creativity. Practices of smallest transformations in the production of soundalikes"
The book looks into creativity in processes of intentionally fabricating similarity.
It is written in German (sorry!), but in a simple style - so maybe even something for English natives 🙂
